XP to Windows 7 lost wireless network adapter

The only Network adapter left is the ethernet. I've been on the Acer website ( its an Aspire 9500) but they only have drivers for XP operating system - not windows 7.
    What should I do ?

The link is saying to download the XP driver from the website and install it manually like this:

    1. Click update driver
    2. Select driver to use (Browse to the Windows XP driver directory and select the .inf file in that folder.)
    3. Choose the Windows XP driver.

It is more than likely to be the Intel Driver you need ....

You will need to borrow a computer that can connect to the Internet.

You can transfer files between computers using USB flash drive or even a smart phone.

If the seems to complicated, then you can try and find a geek friend to help or take the computer to a computer shop.

    this MIGHT work

    ControlPanel>Devicemanager>NetworkAdapter(or more likely Problem device).
Select device> right click update driver
Select Browse my computer> LET me pick>
    UNCHECK show compatible hardware
Scroll down to Intel Corporation(left side box)
    scroll to IntelWifi link 1000BG,
    Upate

    see screenshot

    Then update normally.
