Display driver crashes with Chrome, Spotify, etc

My computer build has been having some issues with the display driver. My CPU usage is incredibly high for doing nothing, and my CPU temp is higher than normal - I'd say around 45-50°C on idle. I've used DPC Latency Checker and narrowed it down to the display driver. When I use Chrome, Spotify, or try to play any games (League for example), the display driver will constantly crash and recover. I can't finish the game whatsoever. To use Chrome/Spotify I usually just disable the driver and everything will be okay, however, I can't play any games when it's disabled. I've done a clean uninstall/install of the driver, and also tried using an older AMD driver (most recent to 13.12) to no avail.

I'll be buying a better heatsink from the stock one tomorrow to try to lower the idle temp, but does anyone have any idea as to what is wrong with the driver?

Here's a pic of the DPC

You should be using this one, Desktop and that dpc latency is very high try using latencymon to really narrow it down, also make sure your power plan is set to high performance and not balanced. Resplendence Software - LatencyMon: real-time audio suitability checker

My driver crashes with that one. The AMD tech support told me to go to Previous and try different drivers. It worked for a good while but when I turn off my computer and turn it back on, the driver will still have issues :\

Are you sure your cleaning away your old drivers. Uninstall all amd drivers then reboot and run this and pick amd/ati video drivers and clean/restart, then install the driver you want. Display Driver Uninstaller Download version 15.4.1.0 edit also your sound drivers should be this one (pick the latest at the top) Latest Realtek HD Audio Driver Version

Yeah, I'm using all of those. It'll work after the install, but sometimes if I restart the comp, the driver was go buggy again. :\

Get Furmark and run it on the normal settings and write down what your gpu temps are. Perhaps your card is starting to fail. Also try using windows in safemode and see if it crashes with that.

It's hot but not that hot. No difference in safemode with networking?

Safe mode runs fine because the display driver is disabled I assume.

I'm almost 100% sure this is a problem from the driver because my computer runs perfectly fine without it. However, I can't do much without the driver aside from browse the internet. T_T

EDIT: Used LatencyMon and it said USBPORT.sys, ATAPORT.sys and dxgkrnl.sys are the three biggest ones. I called AMD and they were no help since I told them I narrowed it down to the display driver.

    What should I do now?

Have you tried reseating the card yet? Or another pc slot on your motherboard if you have one. It is odd that every driver you try crashes and not one is stable. So your using the program I linked after you have uninstalled and rebooted once correct?
Edit: put the card in the second blue pci-e x16 slot. Any difference?
