Display driver crashes with Chrome, Spotify, etc

There's one more slot but when I tried to put it in, it was too close to the PSU. Yeah, I did a safe mode + networking reboot and used DDU to uninstall the driver, and then I installed both.

I went ahead and did a clean install of Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit and I still seem to have this problem. Looks like ataport.sys and USBPORT.sys are the main problems.

Interesting, have you tried resetting your bios to defaults to make sure your irqs are not being mixed up. Also what USB devices are you using atm with the pc?

Yup, I set it to default with no luck.

Mouse and keyboard are the only things connected by USB. \

If it's truly a driver issue and not an issue with how your hardware being utilized it's possible yes. You can always revert in settings/update-recovery then pick go back to Windows 7. That is only available for about 15 days after upgrading so keep an eye on if it's fixed or not before then. Edit: you have installed all the motherboard drivers including your USB ones correct? You might want to try running a live cd of like ubuntu and see if it crashes in that. If it does you have a hardware problem.

Welp, upgraded to 10 and problem still persists. I guess it's an issue with the AMD driver. LatencyMon narrowed it down to ataport.sys and usbport.sys, but I copied those files from a working computer and replaced them with mine, so those two are out of the question.

Do you have another pc to test the card in, and can you also post pics of your cpu settings in the bios, this could be from a throttle setting on your cpu, if the cpu is throttling during these loads it will cause things like audio drop outs and high dpc latency, iv never seen it cause the video driver to crash though. I still think you might have a hardware issue. Can you list all the driver types and numbers you tried. Ill ask the others to take a look at this thread as well cause if your cleaning between each driver install then i'm stumped. You said your temps were pretty high on the cpu but that is pretty low for a newer fx on air. Oh and also please list the model of the mouse and keyboard as their own drivers might be playing into this.
