Sony Ericsson W395 (phone) drivers ?

Having problems trying to connect my mobile phone to my new laptop (want to use it to connect to internet)... Ive installed the program that is on Sonys site, I've tried installing the vista drivers etc.. but I'm on Windows 7 and it keeps saying the drivers haven't installed and refuses to see my phone (well it sees it but says its not connected) any ideas ? Thanks Steve

What did it do when you connected it to the computer? Windows found the drivers for my W705 and K850i which connect with no issues.

I'm connecting using the USB lead that comes with it (for this purpose) The firmware should be fairly upto date as the phone was only bought 6months ago... I now how fast things move on but I doubt thats the probably (especially when Sony Ericcson replied saying they didn't have drivers for it) Steve

So what happens when you plug it in?

I'm guessing you won't have run S.E Update yet as you can't connect it to the PC.

I assume you've already downloaded and installed this USB Driver?

After doing some searching, it would appear that your phone is actually a Sagem with S.E branding, so it's a bit of a funny one.

working backwards, yes already downloaded and tried to install that driver but it will only half install, saying it needs re-doing as its not worked properly (even using compatability mode etc) When I plug the lead in - the computer will detect a mass storage device for the phone and for the card thats in... If I switch the phone to USB Modem it just won't do anything with it... trying to use any sort of connection software for running the modem says its not there, the driver shows saying not working or not installed (can't remember as Its a bit since I've tried) (it also won't see it if the phone is already switched to modem mode before plugging in) (ps it also says in the instructions that is supports easy removal where you can just unplug and not have to safely remove hardware, however if you just unplug and then plug it back in it refuses to see the mass storage... if you safely remove it before unplugging it has no problem re-seeing it !)
