There already is a driver for the RTL8187
I've been using my Realtek adapter for months now. What I did was buy the zonet wireless adapter from newegg which worked immediately upon first plug-in and Windows 7 automatically found the driver for the Realtek built-in card. Then I just put the Zonet away in case I needed it in the future. I probably wouldn't have even have had to do that if I could've gotten my computer close enough to a router/switch/hub so that I could plug my motherboard directly into it (I had windows 7 drivers for the motherboard's built-in ethernet).

I don't know if it would work or not, but you could download the driver from the Asus website to see if your computer will take it. Search for motherboards, socket 775, P5B Deluxe WiFi. Choose Windows 7 and download the wireless card driver.
