I got same problem with my realtek rtl8187.
I installed it properly and all went well for a few days. Then all of sudden it just disconnected on it's own and won't work. I restarted computer and it started working again. Now after an hour online it just disconnected and won't connect. There is another listing under Networks, (Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport Adapter). Could MS put this on
my computer to replace Realtek rtl8187?

Here is a link to the driver. Extract the RAR / ZIP to a folder, run the setup if you want to use the horrible Realtel wireless software or point device manager to the inf file if you don't! Verified working on Win 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I just pulled a USB RTL8187 adapter out of a knackard Elonix Webbook and stuck it in my Win 7 P.C to find that Windows update cannot locate a driver for it. When I installed the driver in my previous post Windows update then updated the driver to a newer one. That may be the one you have linked to. Who knows and who care much anyway, that's what I say. Now I'm going to do something more interesting!
