No USB 3.0 support in fresh Win7 x64 reinstallation

My system crashed the other day necessitating a fresh reinstallation of Win7 Pro x64. Everything seems to be back to normal except my USB 3.0 HDD isn't recognized on either of the two USB 3.0 ports (Asustek motherboard), though it works fine on the USB 2.0 ports. This could be a mobo issue, but it seems marginally more likely to be a Windows issue, under the circumstances, so I thought I'd check here first. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Have you installed the USB3.0 drivers for your Mobo?

And just out of curiosity, have you installed any drivers from ASUS?

Chipset is important, so are a few others.

I installed them when I got the system, but I haven't reinstalled them since the crash. I assumed the mobo would've been spared, and the drivers were in flash, which is why I started here. Maybe not. I'll try a reinstall. Thanks for the pointer.

That seems to have fixed it. Silly me. Thanks.

    You're welcome.

Once you reinstall the OS, you need the drivers again.
