    error message after virus scan


    this is second time i received same error message running scan When i completed full avast virus scan. it said some files could not be scanned C:\found.002\file0000.chk C:\found.002\file0001.chk avast said error: the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable (1392) how do i fix it? do i delete?

    Did you run chkdsk or something similar?

    Those found/ folders are created when errors are found during a file system scsn like lost clusters. At best you can try to open files under found/ using Notepad to see if it's anything intelligible. Bottom line: delete found/ folders

    when typing chkdsk box just pops up and disappears

    I believe this tutorial by Brink will solve your problem with Disk Check.
