Programmable Root Enumerator Problem

Does any body have a fix for my problem? I put my PC to sleep earlier today and when I woke it up, I had no mouse or keyboard. Having visited the Device Manager I found that there were two entries for Programmable Root Enumerator, one of which with a yellow triangle sporting an apostrophe. The device status was thus, "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)". I found that four of my six USB 3.0 ports on the rear of the mother board were no longer functioning, the two on the front of my box are still operational also. I have tried a system restore to a point from over twenty four hours ago and the situation remained the same. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
