    BIOS update worthwhile?

All, I am running an ASUS M5A97r2.0 with bios rev. 2601 dated 3/24/15. On the ASUS support page the latest bios is rev 2603 dated 7/24/15 (no updates since then.) 2603 was released to "improve system stability" and I know that usually means a really minor tweak on something. But, being as anal as I am I really think I want to be running the latest version. Would in really be worthwhile to update my bios just to be able to say I am on the latest version, or do you all think its a waste of time? I'm maybe trying to talk myself out of it.

    Hi,
Unless you're having problems I'd leave the bios alone
One exception to that is if asus has a bios updater utility that downloads and installs the new bios for you
If not it's a dang good way to create a large paperweight :)

I agree I have two machines on 2009 bios without any issues at all
New asus x99 sabertooth is on it's original bios which I believe there have been a few new bios releases but asus did not make it as easy as I would want it to be and the instructions are not very clear either.
So with that in mind I say = Pass

In 30+ years, (well, since one could actually update their bios), I have never done so. No problems, yet.

Okay. Thanks for the feedback. I think I'll leave well enough alone!
