Driver for USB controller is not found. Error code 28 in dev manager

Yesterday I did a fresh install of windows 7 home premium. Everything went well, until I installed the drivers for the motherboard. I have an Asus Sabertooth z77 motherboard. I installed all the drivers with the installation disc's I already had laying around. I have uploaded five images which may be helpful.

I will translate the last image
" The drivers for this device are not installed" (Code 28). No driver is chosen for the deviceinformationkit or the element(?). Press update driver to find a driver for this device."

If you need any of the other images translated, just post a reply in the thread.

    Thanks for a reply.

I downloaded the two programs you linked me to, but it did not seem to fix the problem.
Yesterday I downloaded ASMedia's usb controller, and when I opened device manager, there were not any devices under "other devices" except an unknown device. I also installed Intel's usb controller, so now i have two.
Some other information I did not include is that all of my usb ports except one in the front is working.

    Hi Haakelv,
    OK,
follow this link for the motherboard.
    https://www.google.co.uk/url?sa=t&rc...D91JNdVHRRhRjg

    Support(top right) >>drivers >> w7 >> x64

Check the chipset driver FIRST, update if neccessary, and then the USB3 drivers.
As you have no USB3 drivers i suspect the non working ones are USB3's (blue internal ports)

What do you mean by check the chipset driver first? And if I update the chipset driver, dont i need to uninstall the current chipset driver? If so, how do I do that? I have now tried to download and install all 3 USB drivers from Asus's website, but none of them gets rid of the pop ups at the startup of my pc. Btw, the USB port that is not working is a normal USB 2.0.
Also, the only driver that got rid of the errors in device manager was the ASMedia driver.

    Hi Haakelv,
Your comment i had the disks lying around, led me think how old are they.
    Right lets go another way
FROM the asus link i gave you in my last post scroll down to utilities select this update, see screenshot download and RUN EZ update.
It will tell you what you need and and ask if you want to update >> YES <<

You do NOT need to uninstall anything.

Unfortunately that did not fix the problem. The only thing that removed the USB controller from other devices in device manager was installing ASMedia's driver. However, I got rid of the pop ups at startup by disabling the files. It did not seem to cause any harm to my computer, and the only thing bothering me now is the USB port that is not functioning.

So what your saying is when that program ran it reported

ALL DRIVERS ARE UP TO DATE,
and when you clicked on the new icon bottom right of your toolbar

The program updated some stuff and added some new features, but it did not solve my problem. As I am writing now, the program reports that all divers are up to date.

Having trouble with a pop up regarding an unknown usb device.

Today, a problem I have encountered before started happening again. A pop up from the windows taskbar keeps telling me that it does not recognize a USB device. I have tried to install the latest driver, but without luck. When installing the driver, it just keeps searching for like an hour without finding one. I have also tried to deactivate and uninstall the USB device, but it keeps popping up. I have recorded a video of my desktop with sound, so you can see what is happening. In device manager i am getting an error code 43.

In addition, my USB controller is listed under "other devices", and when i try to install the latest driver, it either tells me that the latest driver is installed, or it keeps searching forever.

    My system specs are:
    Motherboard: Asus sabertooth z77
    CPU: Intel Core i5 3570k
    OS: Windows 7 Home Premium
RAM: 8 GB of Corsair Vengeance
    PSU: Corsair TX750
    GPU: EVGA Gtx 670

Hopefully one of you can help me :)
