2 DirectX Installations in my system

hi, after i completed windows setup & other drivers i checked that i had DirectX 11. then i installed a program requiring DirectX 10. i thought it would skip DirectX 10 install but it proceeded anyway, and i am sure it wrote to my disk. when i checked dxdiag, my version is still 11, but i am sure something was installed.

is it possible that 2 versions of files can exist on a system, and if so, is it possible for me to find the location and manually remove DirectX 10? and would u recommend this?

If you installed a program that required DirectX 10, then that is why it is there. Yes, multiple versions can exist together. Some programs require DirectX 9 even.
I would leave it alone, lest you start having issues with the program you installed.
