    Vista 64bit on Windows7

    Hello
I'm new to much of this, so bear with me. Will a Vista 64 bit driver run in Windows7 ? I have purchased a CCD astronomical camera, which I will receive in January 2010. The seller says that they have people using the camera in Windows7, using a Vista 64 bit driver. I upgraded from Windows7 home edition to professional. I used the Microsoft test and my cpu can not run in XP mode. Can anyone tell me if this driver would work with Windows7. Your advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Yes, a 64-bit Vista driver should work just fine in Windows 7 64-bit.

I hate to ask, but most computer products indicate what operating systems they are compatible with.

Just because some guys says it works is not a good sign to me.

Ask the seller if he'll take it back if he has a return policy or you may be hosed with a non-working CCD astronomical camera

    Hello pparks1
Thanks for the fast reply. I needed to know if it would work as I have a project
that nneded this camera. If it's not going to work I can cancel the order and order another brand. I really appreciate your help, thanks

    Hello
They're a fairly large company, and I'm sure they will take it back. The problem is, I'm running out of time. The camera is a new model, and their adds are not up to date on the specs. A lot of the astronomy equipment and software always seems to be playing catch up with the operating systems. Thanks for your input.
