    WP61R2 64bit Driver

I installed Windows 7 a few months ago. I am using a Gateway DX4200, now I decided that I need to use Wireless Connection. I downloaded the Vista 64bit driver from the Gateway site. It had the .inf file, so I right clicked and clicked Install. I got the following error message,
    Code:
The INF file you selected does not support this method of installation
Tried to find the actual driver, and failed to.

The full file name that I got from Gateway site was,
    WLAN_Pro-Net_WP61R_WP61R2_Vx64 .

Can anyone find that driver for me, or help me resolve the Installation issue? Thanks in advance

Look HERE or HERE ... Your problem may be your method of install and not the driver you downloaded. Did you look on Gateway's web site for instructions for proper installation? Here's how to INSTALL . I hope this helps.

First of all, the links you gave me, were already observed by me and the FILE was downloaded by me too.

The instructions show how to download and extract the file. Am I stupid enough not to realize that?

I'm sorry. I was only trying to help. I really have no idea how stupid you are. Remember...YOU are the one needing help. Not me.

Thanks for trying, but unfortunately I haven't solved this problem yet.

    Help would be appreciated.

I don't know if THIS will help or not. It's another thread about a wireless problem that was solved. I'll keep looking around to see if I can find a solution.
