Graphic driver - Dell D505  

I tried this but after reboot it goes back to the standard VGA because it says that win7 needs directx 9....

What version of DirectX have you installed?

To diagnose DirectX issues, type: dxdiag.exe in the start / run box.

I resolved my wife's machine by advice on Intel 852GM/852GME/855GM/855GME Windows 7 Solution Raven’s Nest 852gm852gme855gm855gme-compatibility/ .
I will check and get back for the driver date and build number but I know it was not a young file.

I downloaded 2 drivers, 855GME.7z date circa13/10/2003_27/07/2004 and the XP 855gm_vista driver dated 18/09/2006 _02/11/2006.

The driver available from the link supplied at the beginning of this thread is the Vista Driver:
DriverVer=08/01/2006,6.14.10.4656

@robert i have directx 11 installed. (thats what it says)
@ andycd are these drivers any diffrent from the ones im using? arnt they just all the same..
i tries the xp and vista driver. same problem with both..

i am now running the DirectX 9 End-User Runtime Web Installer
hope this will work...

Dangsu, did you download the driver at the beginning of this thread? It sounds like you are trying to install the XP driver, not the Vista one?
