    Hy,

I had the same problem, I have a A200-1CR, euro built also. Every time I made a driver update on toshiba site they tried to install the synaptics driver but the laptop works only with Alps driver. My advice:

    - Download the Alps driver for toshiba from download center
    - Go to Control Panel->Add remove programs and uninstall anything with synaptics.
    - restart
    - install the alps driver
    - restart
    - if stii doesn't work, go to mouse properties and on Advanced tab, enter Advanced touchpad settings and enable vertical scrooling!

Hope it helps solve the problem!

    Cheers mate.
can you upload this driver please ? cause I can't find it anywhere !
