Printer Driver

Hello all.

I just realized that, without thinking about it first; I installed Windows 7 with my printer hooked up and it installed a driver for it with no problem at all. I'm glad, now I know that 7 will install with it hooked up.

It also installed a driver for my 9600GT with no problem.

I think that most of the driver incompatibilities are a thing of the past....

Kodak EasyShare 5300 errors

Kodaks and Microsoft, do they plan to obsolete my cost efficient 5300?
Must remove and then download the latest drivers from Kodak for a Vista OS and hope for the best.
What do you think?

Kodak EasyShare 5300 errors no big deal

Well I got beyond that. A removal of the old that I put in the OS and once I hit the Kodak site all went ok. Kodak's setup took two times through, 1st removed the old and hung in process 2nd took off like a champ. Explorer crashed once after the test and a message questioning the proper setup but it works. On to shairing and the Laptop. All in all beter than my 1st Vista experiance. This is a good old box. TT

Sorry to necro this thread but does anyone know if Kodak ever did bring out 64-bit drivers for this printer (the Kodak easyshare 5300) in Windows 7?

Found it. It's on their website under their 'all-in-one' software package '(including drivers)'. Find it here: KODAK All-in-One Printer Home Center Software (including drivers) - WINDOWS Operating Systems

It doesn't support WinXP 64-bit, but does support Windows 7 64-bit. My friend, for whom I was doing the search, has downloaded it and it works just fine with her Windows 7-64 setup.
