Did you try the Windows compatibility page? You can find software and drivers directly from this site: Windows 7 Compatibility Epson Epson Stylus CX4600 All-in-One Printer.

I didn't try that page but I was at the one to which it leads, that's the one that says there is nothing available at this time.

If the manufacturer hasn't updated the driver there is little I can do.

    Sorry!

Try installing in safe mode. Maybe you have an anti-virus running.

That's a good thought, but safe mode doesn't solve the compatibility issue.

I read those pages - the compatibility chart shows you can download the necessary Windows 7 drivers for your printer. There are two Windows 7 compatible drivers/apps - the twain driver and the print utility (I forgot the exact name).
Yeah, that's why I tried downloading from that page. I was able to download it fine, but they refuse to install. (There's a separate page at Epson for W7 stuff, that's where it says there is no file for that printer and OS combo.)
Have you tried extracting the files, then right clicking on the install exe file and using Vista compatibility?

I called Epson directly and they said they are working on a W7 driver for this model and it should be out in a few weeks (but they don't have a workaround in the meantime).
