I installed Windows 7 in this old PC of mine, with 64MB GeForce2 MX 200/400..

I installed its drivers using DriverMax from my XP installation(dual boot)..
93.71

Everything is running smoothly, I disabled aero purposely, but everytime I play a video clip, or a game.. Blue Screen Appears, nv4_mini.sys

I want to view movies in Windows 7.. anybody can help? Thanks!

yes, the resolution.. in the default driver, the resolution is only 1024x768.. while it should be 1280x1024, do you know any workarounds for it? Any help will be appreciated! thanks!

hmm lolbeans can you try going to the control panel and then go to display and then go to adjust resolution...

there go to advance setting and there go to troubleshoot and then change settings...
there push the slider all the way to none...

other than that what i can tell to do is to use MPC or VLC....
(more on that later...)

this is with the default windows 7 driver correct?

wait this is a Direct 7 card?

download either the Klite codec pack

find mplayer.exe and from there go to view options player output...

there go and see where Directshow video is??
change it to VMR 7 (windowed...)
if this does not work the choose overlay mixer and if not choose Old renderer...

I had the same issue !!

Running Windows 7 Ultimate on my old box which uses the MX440 AGP8X ...

-Downloaded the latest drivers from NVIDIA (ver 93.71 Forceware for WinXP/2K)
-Installed it under compatibility mode (winXP SP3)
AND it didn't WORK!!! Kept giving me Blue screen of death when
I play any video and games...

Anyway, found a copy of the older drivers:
Forceware ver 77.77
(http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/winxp_2k_77.77.html),

installed it and it seems to have fixed the issue ...

Hope this helps anyone

Thanks a lot Hotto!!! These drivers completely solved my problem!

My problem was the same, everytime I was trying to watch a movie, the nv4_mini.sys Blue Screen appeared.

My graphic card is a Geforce2 Mx200 running on Windows 7 Ultimate x86 (32bits), and as you and others, I tried the 93.71 drivers with no success. Also tried 91.31 with no success.

But with the 77.77... wow!!! I didn't even need to choose compatibility mode, I just double-clicked the file and it all went smoothly!!

Now the movies are working!

Thanks a ton!! :D
