    Blue Screen Problem

I installed Windows 7 in this old PC of mine, with 64MB GeForce2 MX 200/400..

I installed its drivers using DriverMax from my XP installation(dual boot)..
    93.71

Everything is running smoothly, I disabled aero purposely, but everytime I play a video clip, or a game.. Blue Screen Appears, nv4_mini.sys

I want to view movies in Windows 7.. anybody can help? Thanks!

hello lolbeans and welcome to the forums...
yeah this is normal with XPDM drivers (xp video card drivers)...
normally you should stay away from these drivers.....
have you tried any of the vista drivers??

was the regular drivers installed with 7 any problem?

yes, the resolution.. in the default driver, the resolution is only 1024x768.. while it should be 1280x1024, do you know any workarounds for it? Any help will be appreciated! thanks!

hmm lolbeans can you try going to the control panel and then go to display and then go to adjust resolution...

there go to advance setting and there go to troubleshoot and then change settings...
there push the slider all the way to none...

other than that what i can tell to do is to use MPC or VLC....
    (more on that later...)

this is with the default windows 7 driver correct?

wait this is a Direct 7 card?

download either the Klite codec pack

find mplayer.exe and from there go to view options player output...

there go and see where Directshow video is??
change it to VMR 7 (windowed...)
if this does not work the choose overlay mixer and if not choose Old renderer...
