Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 Raid driver.  

If you want to dual boot you will need to disable raid - personally I think this would be your best bet - if you do what I outlined below all data on your discs will be lost, also so you can't partition a raid array to my knowledge to dual boot. To avoid that driver you could set the bios to AHCI :
Turn on your computer and press <Delete> to enter BIOS Setup during the POST. In BIOS Setup, go to Integrated Peripherals, ensure that Onboard SATA/IDE Device is enabled. Then set Onboard SATA/IDE Ctrl Mode to RAID/IDE (P 81). If you do not want to create RAID, set this item to IDE or AHCI, depending on your need.

To make sure you don't have any problems you could delete the raid drive in the gigabyte rom firstly -actually this maybe the problem as you might need to do this when installing a new OS -all data would be lost then change the bios setting to AHCI - im not sure this necessary as it might do it automatically.

To switch to the intel controller do this : p.76 (also if you switch to intel controller you need to install the intel matrix storage manager once the OS is installed outline below).

Turn on your computer and press <Delete> to enter BIOS Setup during the POST (Power-On Self-Test). To create RAID, set SATA RAID/AHCI Mode under the Integrated Peripherals menu to RAID (Disabled by default). If you do not want to create RAID, set this item to Disabled or AHCI.

Do all this at your own risk - I have only once used raid years ago, and nilly snuffed mine in the raid utility, but addmittedly I removed a hard drive from the PC, and then tried to get the raid going again.

All you need to know is in your motherboards manual to do the below - download at bottom of post.
I'm assuming your not trying to upgrade a 32bit OS to a 64 bit OS - you can't - you can only do a clean install.
Ok Ill briefly explain - we need to disable the current GIGABYTE SATA2 Raid controller( it might be a good idea return the drives to non raid or delete the raid drive probably better in gigabyte rom firstly-Ctrl+G -starting P81 of your manual), and enable the intel raid controller(as above except select raid not AHCI). Since your changing controllers you will have to go into the intel matrix storage manager rom and setup raid0 - the key is to press Ctrl+l during post –instructions for this can be found in your motherboards manual starting P75.

Next reboot and install Windows 7 and Windows 7 will install the Intel Raid Driver . Ok when install is finished do this, or do this before you start anything, and put the drivers on a cd or floppy disc that way you wont be vulnerable to a virus when your downloading them or set up a compatible antivirus program firstly.

Select chipsets - chipset software - intel(R) matrix storage manager - Select Operating System - select Windows 7 (64bit OR 32 bit) - select drivers - select intel(R) matrix storage manager 8.9.0.1023 - download and install.
(make sure you don't download the floppy configuration utility by mistake) - it will show up if you select utilities.

Firstly install the chipset drivers and reboot next install the intel matrix storage manager and reboot and your done- how to use the intel matrix storage manager can be found on the intel site or in the console :

I also assume you know how to get it to boot from the Windows 7 DVD ROM to start install - 2 ways
1 the easy way is to hold down the F8 KEY (MY BOARD) when the boot starts until the boot menu comes up and then you select boot to cd/dvd rom.
2 firstly change the boot order in the bios to boot from dvd rom - when it finishes loading the setup files it reboots you have 15 sec to remove the Windows 7 DVD or if left it will go into a continual loop reinstalling the setup from the dvd.

*Im not sure if your sata drives all connect at the one place on the motherboard or separately to the each controller that would also be in the manual.

I Got the same thing when trying to install Vista this is what Gigabyte sent me and it worked, I also used it to install 7 the same way.

When you are installing Vista x64 from media (DVD) that contains both x86 and x64 versions you may get a misleading error message saying third party drivers are unsigned. It is not incorrect.

If you are using combined 32/64 bit media for an install, the 32 bit version of the Windows Preinstallation Environment (WPE) is always the one that starts up initially. When you try to load the third party drivers ("Load Drivers" option) and select the 64 bit drivers, the WPE doesn't see any 32 bit drivers and pops up the message about the drivers do not apply to your system or are unsigned.

To further confuse things WPE may see the 32 bit drivers if they are in the same directory you specify as having the ones for x64. It will silently load these drivers and display the target device. You can use the partition and format tools so you think everything is OK. However, when you select a partition and select next you get the drivers do not apply or are unsigned message because the 32 bit WPE hands off the install to the 64 bit WPE at that point.

Solutions:

1) The easiest solution is to use install media that is only for Vista x64 (ISO images available for MSDN/TechNet subscribers). The 64 bit WPE is always used.

2)Follow the instructions in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article

3) If you have USB stick, try to use USB stick to load driver.

4) We are wondering if you use purple GSATA ports or purple ports ? Use yellow SATA port controlled by ICH chip instead of GSATA.

5) Are you using multi boot? since you are trying to install Vista 64, but also mentions Vista 32 in first mail.
