Windows 7 RTM Ultimate

I am getting a BSOD sometimes when I shut down my computer. My computer has to be on and idle for a while (close to 4 hours) for this to happen. I never put my computer to sleep or hibernate. Can anyone do a minidump check to see what is going on? I tried to do this myself but there is issues with the symbols. (Which one should I use for x64 Windows 7)

Thank you!

It's your Creative driver messing things up.

Update this:

Also, you should update this from motherboard wesbite:

ASACPI ASACPI.sys Sun Mar 27 22:30:36 2005

And these too:

Thank you for the quick reply! I will update those drivers. What symbols are you using to get this report?

You're welcome.

Actually, symbols aren't even needed to see what happened with this one. Even debugging without symbols, you can still see the cause: ctaud2k.sys
and see what drivers you have running with the appropriate command.

If you'd like to know, my symbol command in the debugger is this so it connects to Microsoft and stores the cache of whatever it downloads to my HDD:

(Use ctrl+s in the debugger. Copy and paste above to it and save. You can change C to any partition on the system.)

You can look at the link in the top of the Debugging section of the forum for more info.

Here is your .dmp file's output:

Hi athan and welcome

He is either using windb (sybols downloaded from MS) or blue screen view.

either will do.

I have windbg but I did not know about getting the symbols from online. That will save me from downloading several symbol packages if this happens again. I did a simple google search and I found that several people are having this issue with the Auzentech drivers (which use a modified Creative driver). There is a solution to this problem. Thank you for all of your help guys!
