The PCI Simple Communication Controller bang in Device Manager is quite common. I know of several people who have noticed this and none of them are noticing any ill effects from it. It may or may not disappear if you install the chipset drivers. It's unknown if Intel will later provide a fix for it, but I'm not worried about it as it doesn't cause any issues. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

Sygnus:
It was just my obtuse and pathetically inept way of telling him that the PCI Simple Communications Controller error is common, may be of no consequence, and may remain, regardless of what he does. His expansion cards may continue not to work. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Ignatz Special; 4 speed manual gearbox; factory air conditioning; one of one OS Windows 7 SP1, Home Premium, 64-bit CPU Intel Sandy Bridge i5-2500, not overclocked Motherboard Gigabyte H67A-UD3H-B3, full ATX Memory 4 GB Crucial DDR3-1333 Graphics Card none; graphics are integrated on CPU Sound Card onboard: Realtek ALC892; external: USB Behringer UF0-202 Monitor(s) Displays NEC 90GX2-BK 19" LCD Screen Resolution 800 x 640 Keyboard Leopold Tenkeyless with Cherry Blue switches, USB Mouse Logitech or Microsoft optical wired; either USB or PS 2 PSU Seasonic SS-560KM, modular Case Antec Solo II Cooling CPU: Scythe Big Shuriken; Case: Scythe Slipstream 800 & 500 Hard Drives System: Intel 320 Series SSD, 80 GB;

OP, are you using the stuff onboard for your sound, or do you have a sound card?
For these devices to work you need to install the correct drivers for them, post the model tv capture card you have and the we will help you find the driver to use. If they have a vista driver then most times it will work under windows 7, but if no vista driver was made, it might not be possible to get them working under windows 7. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Black_Box (homebuilt) OS windows 7 RTM x64 CPU Phenom II 965 Quad Core 3.4Ghz Motherboard Asus M4A79T Deluxe Memory Mushkin Blackline 8GB (4x2gb) Graphics Card XFX Radeon 5970 Black Edition Sound Card onboard Monitor(s) Displays Dell 2408WPF-main Dell E248WFP-secondary Screen Resolution 1920x1200-main 1920x1200-secondary Keyboard Logitech MX 5500 wireless keyboard Mouse Razor Copperhead PSU XFX 850w Black Edition (Modular) Case Mountian Mods H2go Cooling CoolITSystems ECO A.L.C. I gave my input based on the OP's post as presented.
YES it could, and probably is, a driver issue as well. That's probably a high possibility, and one I don't disagree with.

If my suggestion doesn't work, then I would highly suggest you look for current Windows 7 drivers for the items that aren't working as ccatlett1984 has suggested. Actually I would suggest you install the latest drivers for those items anyway.
