Forgive me if this post is redundant, I searched this forum before I posted...

I am performing a clean install to Win 7 Ultimate on an older Dell Precision 530. Running into the usual driver errors and have one that I can't locate...

I need a Win 7-compatible driver for a Intel(r) 82801BA/BAM AC'97 Audio Controller. It is a sound card that is embedded into the motherboard. I have searched for days but cannot locate a driver that works. The few I found said they work but do not...

Try installing the drivers you found in Vista or XP compatability mode.

It's very possible there is no specific W7 driver if your Dell machine is getting just a little long in the tooth

I'm not sure what you mean... I can't even see the sound card when Win 7 loads...
