Welcome to seven forums tflazio: The only drivers that are avalible on the Acer site for the Conexant Audio drivers are 32 bit drivers Acer Support - Drivers & Download I also checked the windows update catalog(only 32bit XP) and the Acer drivers are more current. Please go to device manager.click on audio>properties>details tab>drop down menu> hardware id. Copy and paste the ID srting and maybe someone can find a workable driver. Through some searching it seems that that chip has been used by various other laptop manufacturers and some have supported Vista. Thanks Fabe

Looks like it has a Realtek ALC888 audio set so here are the drivers...

Go to->www.realtek.com->Downloads (at the top)->High Definition Audio Codecs->Accept the agreement (tick the box)->Next->Download the .exe for Vista/7 64-bit->Run the installer->Reboot

    Only download the x64 driver - you don't need x86 + x64.
