Windows 7 - Driver for dell 810 or 948 printer

| | Driver for dell 810 or 948 printer windows 7 will not recognise either of my printers no matter what I do. I have reinstalled the drivers and clicked the XP service pack 2 in compatability as I was advised on one site but it does not work - I am very frustrated with the amount of things causing trouble with Windows 7! |

| | There are Windows 7, 32 and 64 bit drivers listed for the 810. Have you tried them? Drivers & Downloads= Same way with the 948, Win 7 drivers listed for this model too. Drivers & Downloads= |

In the search box, by start menu, type services. Once there look for print spooler. Make sure it is set to running and automatic. In printers and other devices, right click on your printer and then troubleshoot Make sure your printer is listed as default in the printer and other devices section If your printer is not listed in "printer and other devices", get back to us. |

| | Dell 948 Issues I have read multiple forum posts both on dell's site and here. I have tried everything listed- downloading latest driver for windows 7 from dell; running a driver for vista; checking print spooling settings; etc. Does anyone have any thoughts about what is going wrong with this? Originally the error message was the laptop (Lenovo Ideapad) could not communicate with the printer. After downloading the new drivers, I get successful install, it appears as my default printer and then when I actually try to print I get an error message that the printer is not successfully connected. Any new thoughts would be helpful. Thanks! |
