    Hello all again from hitek,

    Well I’m back…..

We went out into to town where high speed wifi is and YES, thank goodness our Dell Inspirion 1501 onboard wifi card is now working with Windows 7 but now we find out that Frontpage 2002 isn’t working with Windows 7.

I guess I will have to find and get Frontpage 2003 version 11 32 bit version. I hope I can get it. Does anyone have and use it with Windows 7?

Got any input about this issue?

    Reply if you can please.

    God bless and Merry Christmas!

Did you try installing / running it in compatibility mode?

Here is a link to the Compatibility Mode tutorial here at Windows Seven Forums.

    Hello all,
Well heck, I had found some websites saying that if I got the FrontPage 2003 version 11 32 bit version it is to work with Windows 7.

I got a copy installed and registered but its still not working.

It comes up asking for user name and password pop up window like normal and I enter in correct Frontpage user name and password to publish to my hosted websites and just keeps on pop'n back saying something like the folder or web your trying requires user name and password or has a password bla bla bla crap" Similiar to that any how. Dang Windows 7 compatibility website said if I got this FrontPage 2003 version 11 32 bit version it is soppose to work.

    Anyone got any suggestions?

I have a gooe few websites I edit and have loved editing with Frontpage 2002 for years.

    Hope to hear some replies.

Thanks you all and God bless you today.

    Hitek;

It sounds like FrontPage 2003 is running fine under Windows 7, which is a good thing. If I understand your description, it is your web host security that is not accepting the username and password offered by the software. So you need to determine if the web host is the problem or if Windows 7 is blocking your connection. Temporarly turn off the firewall and check, disable your antivirus and check, and anything else that might block the connection.

Also, have you created a "New Connection" to the web host, to the web sites you wish to edit? I used to do that with XP, haven't needed to try with 7 yet. You may need to tell 7 that this is a secure connection to the web sites and that it is OK to let you connect?

Let us know what you find out?

    Cheers!

    Hello,
I have Windows 7 Ultimate and have finally found that if you can get Frontpage 2003 and get it to update this version 11.8164.8221 SP3 it works fine. I have been use to using Frontpage 2002 with xp for years.

This is what I've found out to work. Get Frontpage 2003 to update to 11.8164.8221 SP3.
