I thing I have a problem with my sata drive.
Windows 7 is working ok, and is booting up from the sata drive. The speed is only around 50 MB/s. Should it be more than this ?
HDD Details:
Interface SATA-II
Capacity 160 GB
Buffer 8 MB
Speed 7200 RPM
NCQ Yes
MB settings it's on SATA/AHCI because I also have a ata HDD 80 GB.
And why do I have the safe remove device in the bottom right corner ?

It isn't a powered external USB drive?
I think, you mean USB drive, no it's connect with a sata cable inside the PC. So is a internal HDD.

When you have AHCI enabled in the bios it allows you to hotswap drives (unplug them (EJECT) while the PC is still powered on) hence the safely remove device option - you click on eject when you want to remove a drive from the pc - then it says you can safely remove it - then you unplug the device internally or externally without any data loss.
I would say it is at the correct speed - Email the manufacturer if your in doubt or bing or google it. I think there is info on this site to do with hard drive speeds - use the search option - type in hard drive benchmarks or speed.

You can rest assured its harmless, and you don't need to remove it - if you change the Sata as AHCI, to Sata as IDE in the bios it wont show up, but W7 may not boot and you will just have to change it back unless you reinstall the OS - is this worth the trouble to remove a useful tool even if you dont use it? Having it installed adds value to your PC also when you sell it.
It will probably improve the performance of your older drive also - with the newer drives they have it built into them.
