I have a canon ip100 printer, i have it running on a battery and also i have the optional bluetooth adaptor to run it completely cordless. I have recently upgraded my dell inspriron 1520 to work with 7 pro 64 bit. So far I have had only a few small problems that i have been able to resolve. Anyway, I am trying to enable this printer to work on the bluetooth once again. I have downloaded the 64bit driver for the printer from canon, and it works perfectly whilst connected via a usb, but im not too sure if its me, windows 7, my bluetooth drivers, or the canon driver at fault. I add the printer as a new device, use without a pairing code. Windows cannot find:
Bluetooth Peripheral Device doesn't have a driver
Bluetooth Peripheral Device doesn't have a driver
UnknownPrinter doesn't have a driver
Im not sure what to do, my bluetooth card works perfectly for my phone and has what appears to be the latest driver installed (dell truemoble 355 & EDR)
In my printer devices it also shows the current working device and also the not correctly installed device.
I have also tried enabling the bluetooth on the currently working driver properties, but it still says 'not connected'. This is how i got it working on vista 32bit.
What is the next thing i can try?
'update'
I have got the printer working, via usb & bluetooth.
I uninstalled the current working driver and the inoperative one. I started by first adding a bluetooth divice, letting windows do its seaching and errors etc, then installing the printer driver from canon. I now only have the 2 peripheral device drivers showing as errors;
Bluetooth Peripheral Device doesn't have a driver
Bluetooth Peripheral Device doesn't have a driver
I can nowuse the printer via usb and bluetooth, just a little worried about these 'other devices' without drivers on my task manager.
