    good luck Sam
    Thanks. It worked!

For those who are interested, I created the bootable USB stick using the instructions on the following link and then copied the 1535_A06.EXE file to the USB stick.

    Bios-boot-usb-stick - Howto: BIOS-Update per bootable USB-Stick - www.biosflash.com

After I booted up using the USB stick, I simply ran the 1535_A06.EXE file from the drive.

I would have never guessed that creating a bootable CD was so much more difficult than the a bootable USB.

Thanks pebbly and marsmimar for all your help.
Simple and easy ,was'nt it Sam

    Hi!

I have some bugs on my Dell studio laptop 1535 (Windows 7 Ultimate), so I wanted to update the BIOS from A03 to A06.
I made a bootable usb stick as Sam did in previous posts. Then I put 1535_A06.EXE on the usb drive and booted from ot. When I got to the command prompt screen I entered command E:\1535_A06.EXE and it showed ''Invalid drive specification'' I checked twice and the drive specification is correct, it is E:

Maybe you guys can help me on this one :) What's the problem?
