Your TV capture card is really old and uses the conexant 878 chipset Last driver was for XP 32bit. You could try and find a different manufacturer that uses the b878 chipset and use thier driver but honestly I don't think your going to find a usable 64 bit driver. Your most likely going to need to update your hardware. Fabe

I have a Wayjet TV 878 tv tuner (generic of Kworld TV 878 cards I presume, uses the Conexant Fusion 878a chip), running Windows 7 32bit, original driver and software installs atleast, unlike in Windows 7 64bit, but my preview remains black and white.... wonder why, help anyone please

Just the preview? This has to be one of the strangest questions I've replied to. No offence intended. Fabe

Nah no offence taken. Thanks for the reply.

Strangest thing but yes... the picture remains black and white... something I would have expected from choosing the wrong picture setup (for example PAL I as opposed to NTSC), but I have checked this time and again to ensure its PAL I. Must be a driver error as Windows media player displays a black and white picture too. What to do what to do... Is colour in my life too much to ask for?

@uniquejoe: Your probably looking at the same conclusion as the OP unfortynately. the conexant 878 chip worked with XP bu hasn't had much success with 7. You could try tyoing int the search box (top of page) the conexant 878 tv card. And will get a few thrreads on it and possibbly some other things to try. Fabe

    Hello Fabe!

Oh well, I have had this screen card for almost five years and way back picked it up for a real bargain (R250.00 here in South Africa) and then it was obtainable without a TV-licence. Now days they are expensive as hell and you cant buy one without taking out this licence for some of the worst and outdated public TV programs. Think I'll move my OS back to Vista Basic as I know it worked like a charm there.

I've read plenty of info on this chip-set when I picked up problems in Win 7 64bit. But I'll keep an eye open. Maybe there is some computer whiz that will sort out our problems once and for all...
