Windows 7: Install w7 64

Ok I have looked every where and can't find a driver for my sata drive. I only have and plan on using one sata3.0 drive. So I need windows installed on it. I followed the instruction for my mobo but every driver I try says it's not signed so can't use it. Went to gigabyte and tried th drivers no luck. Even true the vista drivers. No luck

This is the first time I tried to install with a sata drive so I not sure if I'm doing it rite. Also first time win 7 also

Did you install the vista drivers in compatibility mode???

As a work around if it is an external drive you could put it in an enclosure

It's a internal drive. Clean install of Windows 7. At least trying to install win 7. Jus my mono dosent show my drive. I changed the setting from IDE , raid ,and achi and still dosent see it. I am using the sata cable kit that plugs on the HD that has power and sata n one cable. Tried vista 64 drivers windows 7 64 drivers ,xp drivers the driver from gigabyte. Either way it jus says cannot use driver cause it's not signed.

When you say your motherboard does not show your drive do you mean that it is not listed in the bios setup? If it is not then windows will not find it.

You say that you have one cable for both the sata and the power connection. at he drive end there should be 2 connectors as in the attached picture. The other end should have one connection going to the power supply and one going to a sata port on the mother board. Does that sound like the one cable you are using?

Srry i got it now seems the first sata cable i tried was bad. Got another and have windows installing At them moment.
