HDMI video out problems Alright, so a while back I used to have windows 7 beta (7100 build) and used to connect my laptop to tvs via HDMI. pretty simple stuff, plug in and you adjust the image fine no problem.
I upgraded to the Release Candidate and unfortunately was unable to get any display via HDMI to my TV anymore. I tried fiddling with all the settings on the NVIDIA panel, resolution settings, color settings, output format, different configurations, unplugging and plugging back in, different HDMI cables, different TVs, all to no avail. I concluded the problem must be with this new windows 7 but since it was early, I assumed that I should wait for the official release before I start complaining. Today, I installed the official release of Windows 7 Home Premium (32 bit) and discovered that the same problem occurs. No matter what I change, I don't get any signal from the external monitor I use. I change several cables and several monitors with the conclusion that it has to do with windows 7.
I have installed the latest drivers from NVIDIA for my graphics card (GeForce 8600M) so I don't know what my next step should be. If anyone has any advice or past experience with this, please let me know so I can figure this out. I would prefer not to use my VGA cable coupled with audio out (which does work).
So, does anyone know why HDMI to any external monitor displays no output? No video nor audio is transmitted even though the monitor is detected on the computer. Thanks. | My System Specs |

Welcome to Seven Forums Maniax89: How does everything look from your device manager point of view? Any problem devices? Sounds like you have tried just about everything, yet something is not right. So just to make sure I understand you correctly you no longer have any signal coming out of your HDMI port? | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self Built OS Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit / XP Home sp3 CPU intel Core 2 Duo E8400 3.0ghz Motherboard Asus P5ND bios 1401 Memory 8 gigs 1066 OCZ Fata1ty Graphics Card EVGA GTX 580 Call of Duty Black Ops Edition Sound Card Creative Soundblaster Audigy 2zs Monitor(s) Displays Asus 24in LCD's 2MS X2 Screen Resolution 1920x1080p @60Hz Keyboard Logitech Bluetooth Wireless MX5000 Mouse Logitech Bluetooth Wireless MX1000 PSU OCZ 700W GameXtreme Case NZXT Apollo Cooling Corsair H50 CPU/120mm x3 /60mm x2 /Corsair Dominator Ram Hard Drives WD Caviar 500 Black/ WD Caviar 200 Blue Internet Speed Download 19.83 Upload 0.97 Other Info Logitech Z2300 Speakers/ Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones/Avermedia PCI-e Hybrid TV Bravo/Epson NX415 all in one/ 4 Port Powered USB Hub/ LG 10x Bluray Burner /TSST Corp DVDRW External |

yes, everything in the device manager appears to be working correctly and I am not getting an output from the HDMI port. I fiddled with some stuff today and was able to get pink lines to pop up briefly on the external monitor but onle when I set everything to the lowest setting on the NVIDIA control panel. Am I getting somewhere or is this a different error? Thanks for the response. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number HP Pavilion/dv2990nr OS Windows 7 (32-bit) CPU Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0Ghz Memory 3GB Graphics Card Nvidia GeForce 8600M |

I'm experiencing pretty much exactly the same problem. I bought a new laptop with Windows 7 a week ago, and on the first day I tried connecting the computer to my tv via an HDMI cable - and it worked perfectly. But when I did the exact same thing the next day, I couldn't get a signal.
I've likewise tried using several different HDMI cables and tv monitors and still can't get it to work, so I have to conclude that the problem lies with the computer. The weird thing is that it worked at first but doesn't now. Maybe one of the automatic windows updates did something similar to my system as what seems to have happened to Maniax89?
I would greatly appreciate input from anyone who may have a solution to this problem! There may even be hugs and flowers...
If I'm to direct Adrian's question to myself (and if I understand it correctly): Yes, my tv has input selection so that I can choose between normal tv, scart ports, and any of my three HDMI ports. It automatically registers when a cable is attached to one of the ports, but it recieves no signal input. | My System Specs

It would be nice to figure this one out as their is another thread with 2 more Acer Aspire 7535G's experiencing the same issue. At this point I would suggest someone maybe trying HP or Acer support. It just seems to be model specific. Problem fixed.
My ATI Mobility Radeon have two video cards and only other support HDMI.
WIN 7 is not able to change video card mode so I have to disable other video card from device manager.
Now this works fine. | My System Specs | | HDMI video out problems problems? All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:07 PM.
