    Loud CPU Fan!

Hello World. I have tried everything to no avail, so I respectfully ask for the assistance from some of the Seven Guru's here! I cannot figure out what is forcing my CPU fan to spin faster than it ever has before. It is unbearably loud! I have a HP Pavillion a1520n, which I purchased new 3yrs ago with Windows XP installed OEM. Everything is stock save for the HDD which I swapped a year back. Windows Seven upgrade advisor said my machine was capable to run Seven. So I installed RC1 x32. I have tried all the drivers on the HP website. Updated BIOS, graphics drivers straight from Nvidia, the whole nine yards. Even reinstalled Seven. No error messages in the action center, no hidden updates and no alerts in device manager. Every few minutes, under normal conditions, the fans shoot up to 100%! Sometimes even when the PC is idle. The noise will last about 1 minute, and I cannot find a rhyme or reason as to why this is happening. The fans stay calm in the BIOS at start-up, but as soon as windows seven gets started... the fans go wild! Any help with this situation would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You might need fresher power management drivers than you're presently running, check the HP/Compaq website for available downloads...

If you can, check your heatsinks are bedded down on decent thermal paste and not sticky thermal pads...
