Do I got all me drivers?

Hi all,

I was looking to download the new drivers for 64-bit version but the dell site is confusing me- some of the drivers they have in the list for my pc isn't for my hardware lol. Where's the best place to see which dirvers have not updated? Will they all show in device manager?

ty

Go to device manager as administrator. Click on the devices that interst you. If there is a problem with the driver, there will be a yellow warning notice. If you want give me the number of one of the dell drivers, maybe I can find the right one.

Thanks Richard,

There are 3 that are highlighted:

2 x base system device

I also need to find drivers for my graphics card which is still showing as the standard adapter. Here are my system specs and installed hardware list from pcpitstop.com. Hope this helps

I have noticed that in the installed hardware list above there is a PCI memory controller listed... not sure why this is. I'm sure the graphic card installed is Nvidia GeForce 8800m something but it's not on the list either....

Hey guys thanks for the replies.

The drivers that are missing are the one's I mentioned above.... the ones coming up as base devices and PCI memory controller. Just installed the driver for NVDIA GeForce 8800M GTX (from NVDIA website) and it caused a BSOD on restart. I restarted in normal mode after to see what would happen and windows has stopped the device from working (code 43) which I am looking up as we speak lol.

Also running windows update to pick up drivers but it looks like a load of security updates so far
