I keep saying this... but checking the Bluetooth Service is running is of paramount importance - by default it seems to be set to manual start, and not automatic - thus crippling BT devices of course...

    It doesn't open a picture.
Can you please give me some further informations on this or send me this picture on my e-mail, or you can just send me several pictures with steps how to do it, because I am really desperate about this :)

I, too, have spent endless hours of searching Google, trying to find a solution to this problem. It gets so infuriating when I constantly see the instructions of how to add Bluetooth Devices & how things SHOULD work. The problem lies in what to do when it doesn't work in the way the theory says it should.

I have a Samsung E900 phone, with Bluetooth fully enabled.

I have a Bluetooth Dongle on my PC, which is showing as active.

When I run a Search on my phone it finds my PC, then asks for a PIN - dead end there.

When I run a search on my PC - Nothing!!

The fact that my phone finds it, even if I can't access it confirms that the Bluetooth connection is there, despite the fact that Windows (7) can't find it.

I used to have a Blue Soleil dongle, but had exactly the same problem, so replaced it with a different Generic one, but wi no change.

Also, it's not a Driver problem, as it's Plug & Play.

    Anyone got any ideas?
