and yes one more thing .I have installed the XP driver off my drive cd using the compatibility mode win7 offers.

Well.. at this point it's kinda offtopic if your audio driver works and your speakers make sound if you test them.
Your "music" is probably .mp3 encoded. That means it can only be stereo not 5.1. What you are looking for is a 5.1 .ACC encoded audio file. For instance try to watch a DVD movie with 5.1 sound. I know they have a plugin for winamp where you can clone your front speakers with the rear ones so all speakers play, only that it's still 2.0 stereo. I don't remember the plugin name so don't bother asking me.

ATI driver crashing in Media Center
I have Asus 4550 video card The drivers are crashing in MCE very frequently ( Black screen and then BSOD and instant reboot so I can't even read the error) I tried driver that was optional in W7 update, Catalyst 8.12, 9.1 and W7 beta - they all behave the same way :cry: Any ideas ? Thanks
