Hey thanks for any help, I found this site and see some smarter people then me here. I have a Gateway NX570X laptop, the hard drive went out so I put in a new one and installed WNDS 7 ENTERPRISE 32 bit, Got every thing going but the SD card reader, no drivers available at gateway acording to help. There is no manufacture listed in the device manager but I suspect it is TX I, cause I caught a glimps of somthing about it in a pop up. here is the details from the device
    PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803B&SUBSYS_0366107B&REV_00
    PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803B&SUBSYS_0366107B
    PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803B&CC_018000
    PCI\VEN_104C&DEV_803B&CC_0180
It is called a mass storage controller in the program files. Any advice on how to get drivers that will get it going? Please note the name, I am not very savy to PC's or tec talk so please give me the full english version please. I train dogs not PC's
    Thanks again
This is a problem reported all over the web. The problems exists in my intel MB Q66 machine and my ASUS MB Q9550 machine. Both can dual boot into xp, vista, and W7 and both have the problem with a lexarmedia multi-card reader.

Loading XP or even "XPmode virtual PC" allows the card to be read so clearly it appears to be a vista and W7 problem. Haven't found a comaptibility list for card readers yet but I imagine there are some that are compatible.

    Hi.

This thread is marked as solved as you can on this page the user has stated they have got it working, so most will be compatible it's just an issue of finding and installing the correct driver. A lot of people would save a lot of time by running the Upgrade Advisor, but not everyone knows about it or didn't think it would matter, and whilst it's not always entirely accurate, it's still a pretty handy tool, especially on machines designed for XP.

    Welcome to the forums btw.
