    VIA Hyperion 4-in-1 drivers

I'm am trying to update my motherboard chipset drivers. I have a GA-K8VT800M and I have an unknown device showing up in my device manager. I cannot find the VIA drivers for Win7. Does anyone know how to get the 4in1 for Win7? I'm trying to resolve a problem with a USB crash that occurs on restart. I get a blue screen whenever my Linksys WUSB100 stops receiving my wireless network. I posted the last questions under this thread:

    Linksys wusb100

I'm not sure if the Unknown device is causing the problem but here are the details for it under Device Manager properties:

    Device type: Other devices
    Manufacturer: Unknown
    Location: on PCI bus

The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)
There is no driver selected for the device information set or element.

Clicking update driver has no effect: Windows is unable to automatically find it.

    Details tab:
    Hardware ids: ACPI\PNPB02F

How do you find out what an unknown device is? This is a fresh install of Win7 and all my other drivers are showing up-to-date.

    Bulldog, welcome to the forums.

Go into the bios and disable the built-in gameport, and I'll bet it stops the BSOD.

Please follow this tutorial Driver selection for your Hardware devices.
If you have any further problems, or can't find a driver, please post back the information found under hardware id's here for all devices with a yellow triangle next to them. Either myself or another member will then see what we can find for you.

I think the integrated peripherals were the problem. At the mention of the gameport, I shut down the ethernet, gameport and one other unused thing in the bios. It ran solid all yesterday and through the night with a MMORPG to test connectivity. No issues anymore!

    Thanks a bunch!

No, that didn't solve it. I spoke too soon with the last post. About at the 24 hour point of connectivity since disabling on-board peripherals, it had the same problem again. The BSOD shows this message: BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER. Should I call windows support on this? Last time I called them, they just had me disable everything that was non-windows and wait for the problem again. Should I start a new thread for this problem? My original problem was with the Linksys WUSB100, but with the unknown drivers, I thought it might be chipset issues. Here is a description of what causes the BSOD:

The computer appears to work fine for a random time (2 min to 24 hours). Then the connection stops and shows "Limited Access" or no internet basically. It says I'm still connected to the home network and the router is still working. My laptop can still use the router and resetting the router does not reset the problem.

If I select "restart" or "shut down", the shut down process takes FOREVER and then does a blue screen crash dump. The crash screen shows a problem occured with the usb driver. I tried putting the Linksys wireless adapter into other USB slots and Windows 7 would detect the Linksys USB and create a new connection (Linksys USB wireless connection #3...#4...#5) for each slot I tried, but it would never connect correctly. This problem persisted even after successful restarts (no crash dump). Putting the usb adapter back in the original usb slot brings back internet connection.

The driver I'm using is from the Windows Update site. Under System - Device Manager, it shows the driver as 3.0.3.0 with a date of 8/26/09. This matches the version number that is listed on Linksys support website for the WUSB100 but the date is different -- 11/09/09.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Try turning off the USB power saving settings:
Control Panel - Power Options - Change Plan Settings - Change Advanced Power Settings - USB settings - USB selective suspend settings - disabled

I like the suggestion, but I got a different BSOD from enacting it: DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE. I'll check the settings upon restart and see if it implemented them.

I've been using the HIBERNATE feature instead of sleep. Any thoughts on that? Is it more buggy upon restart?

Do you have any more yellow exclamation marks in device manager? If so, follow the tutorial that I previously linked to try and install the drivers. If you have any problems with any of them, post back and let me know. You should do this before going any further with identifying BSOD causes, as it could be the culprit.
Post a new thread in the Crashes and Debugging section, there's a few knowledgable members in there that could help in deciphering your BSOD errors. Read [1 - Novice] How to ask for help with a BSOD problem and follow the steps to post your minidump files in the crashes & debugging section.

At some stage you may also be asked to Edit System Specs, so that others can accurately assess your hardware setup.

Thanks for the suggestions. I posted my minidump to https://www.sevenforums.com/crashes-d...tml#post555368 thread.

The integrated peripherals are all now turned off and i don't have anything unknown in the Device Manager.
