Windows 7 - HP Laserjet 1020 drivers

My 1020 won't install with the drivers for Vista x64 downloaded.

Anyone have any luck?

I got is solved. I found that HP had installed a program that appeared to include the drivers. I told Windows to search for a driver in Program Data and it installed the printer. I had earlier told it to search all of C: drive and it didn't find the drivers.

This is my first post in the OS 7 forum.
Issue: Laser Jet 1020 wil lnot install in OS 7! I have viewed a couple of the responses here in the forum and tried several suggestions but "No Joy"!
I have the original install disk. I have changed the install disk .exe to xp sp2-3 ran the execution and up to the end when I am prompted to attach usb and power up I'm prompted to go back and plug in the usb cable.
The device manager shows the printer connected in 2 areas, thw mid window shows the printer with failed install and not working properly. The bottom window shows the printer installed and working as a usb device.
I see that some members experienced the same issue and were successful but no joy here.
