    Westell USB Adapter not detected

On my computer i was trying to work my Westell 802.11g Wireless USB Adapter but it wasnt even detected on the computer. I saw it in the device manager listed in other devices and i tried updating it but it wouldnt work. It worked on my other Xp desktop but not on my windows 7 desktop. Any1 know how to solve it? Also i tried extracting it and then updating it by that but it didnt work and i dont know if i did it right either. Please reply!

See if you can find a driver here : Westell - Technical Support

If you can only find a xp or vista driver and it wont install normally you may need to install it in compatibilty mode, or thru device manager to resolve the OS mismatch - go here for details :
You cannot install a device driver by using its installation program in Windows Vista

    Briefly :
To install a driver OR program in compatibility mode - right click the setup.exe file - click properties - click compatibility - check run in compatibility with vista/xp etc - check run as administrator - leave the rest blank. Start setup.exe and install.
