    need new drivers

I just clean installed from XP to 7. im looking in device manager, and something called teredo tunneling pseudo-interface has a little yellow triangle in the icon. i tried updating, but it says there was an error and the device can not start ( Code 10 ). what should i do?

I also have base system devices with the yellow triangle in the icon, can not find driver software for the device. im not trying to be vague, but they are listed under other devices.

finally, i had Dell Media Direct, is that available on windows 7? i also have a touch pad, and it has the scrolling options on the right and bottom edges. they arent working since the upgrade, do I have to know the model of touch pad to get the update for the scrolling to work?

    Go here
    Dell - Drivers and Downloads

Enter your service tag number or search models. Some are compatible with windows7 in which case they will list drivers for them. Others are only tested for basic functionality and there are no other drivers. Dell suggests trying vista drivers for your model if it isn't fully supported yet.

Once you have found your model and the available drivers you can follow the windows 7 compatibility links to find out if your model has been tested and what they suggest.

i checked it out, and the only versions for download were xp or vista, so do i need to worry about win7 compatibility?

theres 24 downloads available, should i do them all to be safe? how much freespace will it take on my hard drive?

I found this yesterday online but have not tried it. Is anyone else familiar with these commands?

Problem: In Device Manager, a yellow explanation mark appears beside "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface". Opening the driver shows that "The device cannot start" with error code 10.

    Solution:
    1. Open command prompt with administrator credentials (Find CMD and right-click - Run as Administrator).
    2. Enter netsh environment. Type "netsh" and ENTER.
    3. "int teredo" and ENTER
    4. "set state disabled" and ENTER.
    5. Open Device Manager and uninstall "Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface".
    6. Open command prompt with administrator credentials once again.
    7. netsh + ENTER.
    8. "int ipv6" + ENTER
    9. "set teredo client" + ENTER
    10. Open Device Manager and Scan for new hardware.
    11. Select "Show hidden devices" from the View menu. You will now see that it is present without errors with any luck.

My understanding it that the Teredo Tunneling is used for ipv6 over an ipv4 connection and is used for a home network. I may be off base as I have this same error and just disabled it for now and will look at it later.

If there are Vista drivers, they should work just as well, as Vista and 7 share the same driver model. Drivers take up hardly any drive space.

Your base sytsem device is your Ricoh card reader driver it is under Chipset. I would start their, they are Vista 32 bit drivers and can be installed usiing compatibility mode Vista. Down load the drivers, right click Setup .exe>properties> compatibility>select Vista>check box run in compatibility>install as administrator. Then you might want to take a look at device manager to see if thier are any other problem devices. Thanks and welcome to seven forums. Fabe Drivers & Downloads

should I get my specific service tag drivers, or all that are offered for the Ispiron 1520 series (those are the two options on the dell website)?
