Hi Cilx. Welcome to SevenForums

Here is a link to the latest firmware for your mouse :Razer Lachesis Firmware Updater v1.94

Download that firmware and then right click on the file that you have saved. Click on "Troubleshoot compatibility"

Choose "Try recommended settings", and you will see that it chooses Win XP (SP2).

Click "Start the program" and the Razer Lachesis firmware updater will run. Run it and your firmware will update. Install your new drivers and all should be ok!

Hope this helps.

I tryed loading up the program just as you specified but it still wont work I troubleshooted the program and it said "incompatible program" and I am guessing the firmware only works on vista and XP unless anyone else have got the program to work

I have reinstalled the drivers many times, I have followed your instructions exactly on how to update the firmware, I can get the program to run, but when I hit the start button, the mouse deactivates, the program locks up for 30 secs, no progress on the bar, then I get the error message saying that the firmware update failed and I should unplug the mouse, reconnect it and try again. No matter how many times I try it fails, I have driver 1.10 for windows 7 64 bit, and firmware 1.64 trying to get 1.94 to fix the annoying jumping problem.

ok i have found the solution online (kudos to Updating Razer Lachesis Firmware on Win 7 64-Bit? | Facebook and the mainpage:

Not able to install any Firmware update)

heres how to do it (its THEIR credit, not mine - i just copied and pasted it) and it worked for me!!:

1) Open Device Manager
2) Try to update the firmware, the "Unknown Device" will appear in Device Manager and the firmware update will fail
3) Before disconnecting the mouse and plugging it back in, navigate with the keyboard (mouse won't work anymore) to Device Manager, down to the Unknown Device, bring up the context menu and select "Update Driver Software"
4) Select "Browse my computer for driver software"
5) Click "Browse", and then navigate to or type in where the Razer drivers are installed (C:\Program Files (x86)\Razer\Lachesis\driver64 on my system)
6) Click "Next"
7) Windows will install some driver called "Freescale USB" (or similar) for the Unknown Device
Disconnect the Lachesis, reconnect it and go to Step 2)

You should find the 2nd time around instead of an Unknown Device appearing, the Freescale USB device will appear and the firmware update wlil complete successfully.

Hope this helps other people!

Lachesis button combo simulates stuck button

Hey, my fellow Lachesis users. I have the 4000 dpi version, 2 actually. If I program one of the side keys to any single key I have a problem. Do you?? I use the front right side key for melee. Try ths. Program any side key to some single key. Then open word or notepad. get the curser ready to type. Press and hold the left mouse button and as your holding it press and release the side key - the let go of the left mouse button. It's a problem for me because while gaming if I am firing a weapon while being rushed I sometimes melee befor letting up on fire. Anyway, 3 of 3 Lachesis mouse I have tried this on are the same. Hold left mouse while press and release side key programed as any single key, then release left mouse and that programed key is acting like it's depressed until you press any of the side keys again. True????

Is that normal. Can I set it up so it does not work that way?? I tried doing a macro but that way the macro won't interupt the fire/left mouse.

Any PROGRAMED SIDE button presses will un-stick. Buttond 8 and 9 won't un-stick the button. Off side buttons won't un-stick a stuck programed side key. not really stuck but you know what I mean.
