Extemely long boot time - driver problem
Hi, I recently installed Windows 7 ultimate on my computer. The installation went fine, up untill the point where it had restarted and was finalizing something, or whatever - it was the last step of installation in any case. After that was done, it restarted, booted fine up untill the part that about "Windows is starting" where it has the logo in the background. It completed that bit, then I was left with a black screen for about 20 minutes, but I had a working cursor.
I thought nothing of it, and assumed it was because it was a clean install and was still finishing some settings or whatever, loaded to desktop once the login screen appeared and I logged in. I assumed there was nothing wrong at this point.
The next day, when I got home from school I turned on the computer, and sat there waiting for it to load. Once again it got to the "Windows is starting" bit with the logo in the background, then I was left with the black screen and cursor for about 20 minutes.
I got annoyed at this, so restarted and booted into safe mode - the computer loaded in about 60 seconds, making me think it's something to do with the drivers.
PS - I'm not sure if this is important, but it seems to be that I need to wait for the screen to hibernate before I can get the login screen. Once it goes to hibernate, and the LED on the front goes yellow, I move the mouse, and it pops up with the login screen and I can log in.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
