    USB drivers - intel D945Pvs

ok i just installed Windows 7 32bit ultimate. everything is working fine except my USB is only running at 1.1 not 2.0. the USB ports on the front of the tower aren't working at all and the ones at the back are running at 1.1.
this used to happen with winxp also until i installed the intel cd (chipset drivers), then it all worked at USB2.0.
i put cd in and windows 7 gives errors about not being compatible and doesn't let me run it.
i looked on intels website and my motherboard is listed in the "discontinued products" section. it only shows chipset drivers for win2000, winxp and win vista.
anyway i downloaded them to give it a shot, installs with multiple errors and still my USB2.0 is still not working.
my question is since intel doesnt support win7 with my motherboard chipset drivers, are there generic usb drivers for windows 7? or anyway around this?
    this computer isn't that old!thanks

    Welcome!

Open up Device Manager, right-click on your USB controller, and select Update Drivers.

Also make sure that USB 2.0 support is enabled in your BIOS.

As for the generic drivers, they would have come with Windows 7, so there is no use trying to find others online.

    Hope this helps,
