    wireless driver issues

I have a dual boot system with pre-installed windows 7 and just recently added xp pro. on my xp side i cannot get the wireless network adapter to work. i have the Atheros AR5B93 version 8.0.0.238. I downloaded the driver to a flash device and tried to install the driver. i get the message "cannot load the device driver. driver corrupted of missing (code 39).
On my windows 7 side everything works as it should. it's just on my xp side.

ps. do i also need to download the Realtek PCIe GBE family controller too? I'm not sure what that is.

    Thanks

Code 39 usualy means that the flash device driver is not installed correctly. I would check my device manager for any yellow triangels on base system devices or any other device that has a yellow triangel next to it. You could Copy and paste a screen shot of your device manager so we could have a look. Thanks and Welcome to seven forums. Fabe
