Bluetooth device gone.

Hi all!

I had a bluetooth device on my laptop. On vista it worked properly. I just installed Windows 7 and i wanted to use my Bluetooth to connect to my phone. But sadly, it didn't work. So i tried to install drivers, but i can't find the device at all in devicemanager. Do you have any sugestions what to do? I don't remember the name of the device, so i can't search online for drivers..

So what drivers did you try to install, and is the bluetooth service running in services?

I think you will find standard Windows 7 bluetooth stack is incomplete, and you need to head to broadcomm (Broadcom.com - Bluetooth Software Download) or bluesoleil (BlueSoleil, the most easy-to-use, innovative and interoperable Bluetooth software, Bluetooth driver) and download a complete bluetooth stack.

try this Belkin : Support : F8T012/F8T013 Driver. Choose the vista driver, and just install it, it dosent need to be in compatability mode.

can you supply system specs, i think i got ahead of myself and we need the system drivers before we can install the bluetooth stack. you need to be specific regarding the specs, for instance my laptop is dv6000 series, but is actually a dv6519tx.

My computer is a HP 4515s, 4GB RAM, AMD turion x2 dual core 2.3 GHz, Broadcom 4322AG 802.11a/b/g/draft-n Wi-Fi Adapter
and now running windows 7 professional, 64 bit

the bluetooth device worked fine with XP, and I have tried to install the xp drivers in compatibility mode, but it was no good.
