| | USB to serial (win 7 64 bit) Hello, i recently bought a new laptop and also installed windows 7 64 bit. I also bought an adapter USB to serial (RS232 - HL340) but windows doesn't install the drivers that came with it (it says: installation failed!). It worked just fine at my friends computer, who has windows 7 32 bit. So i think that all i need are drivers for 64 bit. But, i tried really hard but i just couldn't find them. Can somebody please help me with that? cheers, mitja |

| | Welcome to seven forums. It could help to know the manufacturer of the adapter. Hve you checked thier site? You could also go to device manager right click on the device>properties>detials tab>drop down menu> hardwareid(first one) Copy and Paste the string and maybe someone can find a 64 bit driver for the device. | | Yes, i have checked the manufacturer site, but found nothing useful. I also contacted somebody in that company who said (translated): "I don't know what the problem could be. You can still return the adapter and you'll get your money back." But i'm not interested in returning the adapter, I really need to make this work.
