I'm afraid I lent my scanner to a friend months ago and haven't seen him since, so I cannot tell you at this time. I am hoping to get it back soon though.
I have just read that errors like 'This action cannot be completed because the other program is busy'
can be caused by an error in the registry.
Could you try uninstalling the Toolbox software, then scan the registry for errors. I use a program called Windows 7 Manager
, if you do not have such software.
Run the Registry Cleaner app, make a backup, do a scan, delete what comes up, then scan again, just to make sure, then reboot.
Then i was thinking that maybe you could try a newer version of the Toolbox software: CanoScan Toolbox 126.96.36.199a
No idea if i've tried this version myself but it can't hurt to try.... or try the old one.
