Searching for a monitor driver for my laptop

I've been trying to find a driver for my laptop screen. The details are

Display: LP154WX4-TLAB

from device manager,
Device Description: Generic PnP Monitor
Hardware Ids: MONITOR\LPL3D01
Compatible Ids: PNP09FF
The driver currently installed is "Generic PnP Monitor" driver

I've tried PCI Vendor and Device Lists and i couldn't find any details about it.

Windows 7 doesn't find any drivers for it. (says the current driver is up to date)
Tried uninstalling from device manager, but still installs the same driver.

Hello,

Graphics driver will be the video or display driver which is applicable through your Monitor . No additional monitor required for the display

It means, its the problem with the video driver. And know that you may not get more Refresh rates in Windows 7 as it uses own resolution and refresh rates !

my ATI Mobility FireGL V5700 has the latest drivers for windows 7 from ATI.

its actually a minor annoyance, nothing else, since i have all the drivers for the other devices (even the authentec AES2810 fingerprint device).
guess i'll just live with it

thanks for the help anyway

Hello Gladson, if you view the desktop and right click you should be able to view your screen resolutions. Also you will see what your supported refresh rates are. Unless your monitor can support higher resolutions and refresh rates the PNP driver is the most stable driver available.

thanks Adrian. actually its my mistake.
i thought my monitor was a WUXGA monitor (max 1920 x 1200).
but its actually a WXGA monitor (max 1280 x 800) which is the resolution i have right now.
i guess the Generic PnP Driver is more than enough.
